Death will Chase You Down

Death will chase you down.

Death won’t ask if you’re done.

Death will chase you down,

The end will come.

Before death knocks hard

Before the final glow.

Are you busy livin,

Or death already know?

Are you busy livin’?

Are you busy tryin’?

Death will chase you down,

Don’t get busy dyin’.

Death will chase you down.

Won’t ask if you’re done.

Death will chase you down.

The end will come.

Does a good woman,

Warm your bed?

Live life with the livin’,

Get out of your head.

If you’re chasin’ death

Demons on the prowl.

Come find the livin’,

And with love we howl.

Death will chase you down.

Won’t ask if you’re done.

Death will chase you down.

The end will come.

When death chases you down

Did you put up a good fight?

Did you make life worth livin’?

Did you get it right?

Death will chase you down.

Death will never forget

Know when you’re done,

In Death, hold no regrets.

Man is a Hunter

Legs that leave you legless.

Eyes that leave you blind.

Curves that leave you fallin’

Hard for heart and mind.

Man is a hunter.

Riding the thrill.

Peacock his best

Until he has his kill.

Shows off his lair.

Shows off his fire.

Man is a hunter

With wicked desire.

Man is a hunter.

His kill is complete.

Worn down to bone.

No longer a feat.

He will wane desire.

You’ll no longer thrill.

Man is a hunter.

Hunting new kill.

Man is a hunter.

Man is a hunter.

New thrills.

New kills.

Man is a hunter.

Fulfilling his will.

Man is a hunter.

Idle Time

I’ve taken to poetry to fill the idle time.

Foray familiar for myriad of thought.

Alas it’s not the usual love prose.

My idle, the days I’ve soullessly bought.

Haha, what fool does this mirror show.

My virtue sold so cheap.

Trading in my daylight hours,

released for a feed and some sleep.

Knock knock, who’s there?

Don’t ask, I’ve sold my name.

Haha, languishing without purpose,

Look in the mirror to find my blame.

My idle time tells without question.

Have I enough soul to change my game?

Can I salvage virtue, create my purpose?

And find the power to bellow my name.

Forever

So in love so in love.
Still the same you.
Heart warm doesn’t change
the old faded view.

Want the change, take me.
I’m fallow at your will.
Love me in the morning,
let me be your fill.

Does strength greet you
to take on love and a heart?
Does forever taunt you
that it may never start?

High

Once grabbed with a joy in your eyes.

Eagles soaring above the seas.

Light lent we followed highs, the nigh.

Bitter brevity a passing breeze.

Did you wrangle the bucking bull?

Still do you see what soars above?

Looks like the skies are full.

The heavens are out of love.

Home

You have your home,

and I have mine.

Must fade away,

as apart we lay.

The love affair.

It has to go.

No more spent time,

on something not mine.

Too bound to let go,

eyes meet and we inhale.

Scream for eternity –

get deaf ears and brevity.

Know it’s not you,

and there isn’t an us.

Sun sets the same place,

but with a different face.

Grieve for you,

grieve for the fantasy.

Grieve for a feeling,

a heart worth stealing.

Not yet written,

where futures lie.

Look at today,

do we want where we lay?

Who needs to wake up,

you or me?

I’m rising anyway,

know I lose this play.

Anything can happen,

where there’s belief.

When belief reaps ache,

at some point one breaks.

Illusion, I know –

acceptance is brutal.

Future has it’s way.

Are there more sunny days?

I want it all,

have all of me.

Just won’t be you,

who says, I do.

Lies

Wants and needs,
heart that bleeds.
Overcoming my lies,
stifling cries.

Right now, right now,
I wonder how?
Heart that cries,
heart that dies.

Languish in the foul.
Stripped of my howl.
Heart fades and tries,
to forget all these lies.

Hope lies in no more.
But can’t close that door.
So I live with my lies,
for brief jaunts to the skies.

Foul

Languishing fallibly foul.
Minds broken, fearing forever.
Nothing but a roar and howl.
What makes today’s endeavour?

Sweet Nectar

Like sweet nectar, life’s enticingly fine right now.
Wail and just be, unaware of the how.
Mojo’s electric and Dizzy’s got me jumping.
Enjoying the mind roars, thumping, thumping.

Thankful for solace nights endeavour to keep.
I couldn’t imagine the deluge of weep.
A few seconds of foresight at best.
Couldn’t hope for anything less.

Time briefly borrowed to shine and grin.
I could, I would, stay where I begin,
Whenever will you see me again?
Come see up here, we’re free from refrain.

Well is it Dizzy, is it for no reason?
Depends on the tides and the season.
At best I can guess what will forever be.
I’m up for taking chances just to see.

Rumble

My senses satisfied with sweet things.
Air of beauty with scents of satisfaction.
Know not what the future brings,
or where I lost so much traction.

Right now, right now, it pains me not,
as I rumble to the beat.
We’re taken by the same ol’ lot,
Either taken or scared by the heat.

Rumble in my kitchen, drink with me wine,
be consumed by all this could be.
Futures are there for the makin’ in time,
Need not be such a mystery.
